Due to a clash of dates and location with the 12th Arab Federation of Psychiatrists Conference - we have decided not to proceed with BIPSYCH 2012 Dubai.
Instead we are seeking to develop a number of 'Masterclasses' which will be held at the Arab Federation of Psychiatrists event - and will keep the website updated as they develop.

Burning Issues in Psychiatry is a series of conferences all focused on Psychiatry. The main focus of the conference will change based on the dominant issues at the time of the conference. The inaugural event took place in Beirut in October 2011. The main focus of the 2011 conference was Bipolar Disorders. This first event was supported by 350 delegates, 28 speakers and 9 sponsors with coverage by Lebanese Television.

The Mission of the conferences is to allow the dissemination of knowledge across Regional and International boundaries to ensure best practice in understanding and treatment of psychiatric conditions. It is the intention of the committee to consider topics of most relevance to Psychiatry today and to address scientific and clinical issues within the understanding and treatment of these conditions through an expert panel of presenters. The conferences are clinically-focused, mainly addressing topics of interest to clinicians in helping them improve treatment of patients.
Building on the success of the first conference the 2012 event will re-locate to Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The inaugural Burning Issues in Psychiatry attracted a highly regarded group of Professors and Doctors to the Advisory Committee. The Advisory Committee helps to shape and develop the conference and offers input on the sessions. Burning Issues in Psychiatry – The Organisation
Burning Issues in Psychiatry (BIPSYCH) is a not-for-profit organisation that employs Professional Conference Organisers (PCOs) both Internationally and Nationally to manage the conference. BIPSYCH is analogous to a charitable organisation and the organisation operates as such.
Any extraneous funding will be reinvested into future conferences, providing funding for travel and accommodation grants.
